Dear Parishioners
Please click here to download a copy of the Annual Accounts for the year ending 31st December 2021. We have gone through a difficult period in the past two years with COVID. It meant for some time that the Churches were closed and parishioners were not able to attend Mass.
Thankfully, things have improved in that parishioners may now attend Mass, but we are not yet back to the 2019 numbers attending.
You will have noticed from the accounts that the weekly collection has suffered greatly. The 2021 amount is approximately 50% of the 2019 figure. We thank most sincerely those who have contributed so faithfully during this difficult period.
As you can see from the financial statements the parish has not been able to make ends meet. This leaves us in a very difficult position, and we need your assistance to help with this situation. Unless we are able to remedy this situation the overdraft will continue to grow.
To make ends meet the parish needs a weekly income of £10,000.00. This includes the weekly collection, the loose plate, the income from the shrines and any donations we receive.
We would appreciate your suggestions as to how we might increase the weekly collection and your assistance in doing so. It is a difficult task; however, if we work together with a common purpose, it should be possible.
Yours sincerely,
Very Rev. Canon Francis Brown, Administrator
Mr Ciaran Rafferty, Chair, Finance Committee
