Rehearsals resume on Sunday, 22nd September 2024, at 11.15am on the Choir Gallery in the Cathedral to prepare the choir members for singing at the 12 noon Mass each Sunday. Over 48 new volunteers attended a recent safeguarding awareness session at Newry Parish Centre. They were drawn from Newry, Saval, Burren, Warrenpoint parishes and beyond. All will be contributing as volunteers in a wide variety of roles, building, supporting and strengthening the work of the church in our communities.

We wish to thank all those people who attended guided tours in 2024. 117 people attended in total, with the majority coming from our own diocese of Dromore the Archdiocese of Armagh and Down and Connor. We also welcomed visitors from counties Dublin and Cavan. A small number of overseas visitors from England, Wales, Spain and the USA also attended.
