Archbishop Eamon Martin and Bishop Emeritus John McAreavey joined Canon Brown at the altar, adding a sense of occasion to the service. The ceremony was further enriched by Father Callum Young chanting the Gospel reading and Canon John Kearney delivering a thoughtful homily.

In a display of unity, priests from both the Dromore Diocese and the Archdiocese of Armagh joined Canon Brown and the celebrants in the sanctuary. This participation symbolised the wider church family coming together to celebrate Canon Brown’s dedication and service.

Following the Mass, Canon Francis planted a rose bush in the cathedral garden, a lasting reminder of this special golden jubilee.
