A vacancy has arisen for the role of Cook within Newry Parochial House, Hill Street, Newry, BT34 1AT. The responsibilities will include:
- Purchasing the food necessary for the meal each day.
- Preparing and serving the dinner each day.
- Maintaining a standard ot hygiene in the kitchen and dining room.
- Liaising with other staff in the Parochial House.
The terms are based on a part -time appointment requiring 20 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Work pattern to be agreed.
Flexibility will be required in relation to attendance and hours worked, from time to time.
Rate of Pay – £12.84 gross per hour.

SACRISTAN
A vacancy has arisen for the role of Sacristan within Newry Cathedral Parish Hill Street, Newry, BT34 1AT. The responsibilities will include:
- The maintenance of the sacristy where the Church’s liturgical items are kept, including vestments, sacred vessels and books etc.
- Ensuring that the sacristy is ready for Mass, other services, baptisms, weddings and funerals and that all the requisite books and sacramental vessels etc., are in place.
- Ensuring the sacristy is cleared after all services and the Church is left secure and tidy.
- To be responsible for the counting of shrine money and banking of all monies including the weekly collection.
The terms are based on a permanent appointment requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Sunday. Work pattern to be agreed. Flexibility will be required in relation to attendance and hours worked, from time to time.
Rate of Pay – £12.84 gross per hour.
