This year marks two hundred years since the laying of the foundation stone of Newry Cathedral on 8th June 1825.
As part of the bicentennial celebrations, we are pleased to once again offer guided tours of the Cathedral on the following dates:

Wednesday 11th June at 6.45pm
Wednesday 25th June at 2.00pm
Wednesday 9th July at 6.45pm
Wednesday 23rd July at 2.00pm
Wednesday 6th August at 6.45pm
Wednesday 20th August at 2.00pm
Each tour will take approximately 90 minutes. Please meet at the main door of Newry Cathedral. You will hear the story of the building of Newry Cathedral, 1825-1829, and of the later extensions. The history of its stained glass, marble altars, sculptures and magnificent mosaics will also be explained. There is no charge for these tours.
